Development permit approved by Saanich council in 1999 for shopping centre redevelopment to include 3,586 square metres (38,599 square feet) of commercial floor space and 16 apartment units. Permit not issued pending Site Certificate from the Ministry of the Environment under the Waste Management Act - Contaminated Site Regulation.
