Updates below on local business, requesting or volunteering assistance during COVID-19, and online community groups.
Local business update
Most physical stores in Cordova Bay are closed due to COVID-19 physical distancing measures. All Golf courses and restaurants/cafes are also closed. As the situation is fluid and evolving, please check the relevant business websites for up to date information. You may find the Matticks Farm Directory and CBA Business Directory useful.
The following physical stores remain open:
- Cordova Bay Pharmacy
- Maintaining regular hours. Please call ahead to have your prescriptions filled (250.590.6053). Offering a prescription delivery service Monday-Friday for those who are quarantined or self-isolating.http://www.cordovabaypharmacy.com
- Redbarn Market
- Open 7 to 8 am for seniors and compromised immune systems, and from 8 am to 7 pm for all.
- Cordova Bay Pharmacy
- Liquor Plus
- Limiting customers in the store to 5, till lineups are spaced 2m apart, no longer allowing reusable bags in store, requesting other means of payment besides cash.

Requesting or volunteering help
Do you know someone that needs help getting groceries or medications? Perhaps you are willing to volunteer to help those in need? Please visit the website www.bc211.ca and see the Safe Seniors, Strong Communities Program. This provincially coordinated program matches volunteers with those in need of assistance. You can also call 211 if you are in need of assistance.
Creating a sense of community online
During these times of physical distancing, a sense of community and connectedness is more important than ever. To assist in this regard, the CBA has created a Facebook group, in which community members can engage with each other, local businesses and individuals can offer their services, and we can all discuss issues of importance to the community.
