    The Haro is looking for your feedback

    We are passing this on-behalf of the developer and will be sharing the results of the survey with all members.

    Dear Cordova Bay Association Members,

    We hope you have been keeping well in this challenging year! We are writing to provide an update on The Haro and we’ve included a short survey to gain information about what community members are looking for in our commercial/retail offerings. Thank you in advance for your participation!

    The survey will be open until December 12th

    We had planned on having a ground-breaking ceremony with representatives from the District of Saanich and members of the community in mid-March to officially kick off the project. Those plans had to change due to the outbreak of COVID-19. You may have noticed the site changing as we progress with construction. We began work on the site at the beginning of the year and phase one is well underway which includes the Breakwater building in the northwest corner. We are on track to complete phase one in Fall of 2021 and phase two will follow to complete in spring of 2022.

    We are pleased to report that we are midway through our sales program. Half of the residences at The Haro are sold and we have secured tenants for half of the commercial offerings on site. Coming soon to your community will be a drug store, financial services company, dentist and orthopedic surgeon.

    The uptake on the retail aspects of the project have been positive and we are engaged with several other companies who are working with our commercial sales and leasing team. Part of these ongoing communications have been with prospective grocery stores and coffee shops who have expressed interest in the retail space. As we meet with possible new retail/office tenants, we would like to be able to provide them with as much information as possible about the neighbourhood and the local shopping habits and preferences.

    We recognize this may be a challenging time for retail companies to be making decisions about their future. Your feedback should assist in confirming the tremendous potential for those willing to commit to retail space at the HARO development and the support that they can expect to receive from the community.
